One Year After UVALDE ~ The Search for Justice Amidst Texas Laws

There have been numerous protests calling for gun control. These protests have been organized by families of the victims, as well as by other gun violence survivors and advocates. The protesters have called for a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, as well as for universal background checks.

The Uvalde shooting reignited the contentious debate over gun control in the United States. Supporters of gun rights contend that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual's right to bear arms, opposing any restrictions on gun ownership. Conversely, gun control advocates argue that the Second Amendment is not absolute, emphasizing the need for stricter gun laws to curtail the occurrence of mass shootings.
